Based within the Firm’s Litigation Department, Lee is a civil litigator with a “traditional” chancery practice mainly focusing on property and inheritance disputes. Lee is regularly instructed in a host of both business and residential landlord and tenant matters including rent and possession claims, lease renewals, rent reviews, dilapidation claims and the interpretation and enforcement of covenants, as well as the wider range of property issues such as boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance (with a particular niche in Japanese Knotweed), adverse possession, rights of way, restrictions upon the use of land and Trusts of Land Act claims (including cohabitation disputes). Lee also has a significant practice dealing with will and inheritance disputes including will validity (capacity and undue influence), the removal of Personal Representatives and trustees and claims under the 1975 Inheritance Act. In his spare time Lee acts as a trustee for both the Isle of Wight Youth Trust and the Quay Arts Centre.
