PLA North: Northern Mediation Theatre

Honing your mediation skills has never been more timely: the October 2024 changes to the Civil Procedure Rules highlight that judges are now expected to actively consider ordering or encouraging the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution as part of their case management powers.

Following an opening discussion from Northern mediator, Oliver Halla m, focusing on the CPR changes and why your mediation representative skills are key to mediation success, you are invited to watch the PLA’s very own “mediation theatre” – an unscripted, real-life opportunity to see what really happens behind the closed doors. For one afternoon only, this theatre will have an all-Northern cast expertly led by well-known Northern mediators Oliver Hallam and Mandy Lenton.

Registration is from 4.00pm for a prompt 4.30pm start. The session will finish at 6.30pm and be followed by networking drinks until 7.30pm.
