Tenant insolvency and its effect on commercial and residential possession claims
Tristan Salter of Five Paper Chambers will be delivering a seminar dealing with the impact of tenant insolvency on claims for possession of residential and commercial property. He will explore the options for landlords and creditors in seeking possession orders, whether in vindication of property rights or as security.
There are further interesting issues which arise during an insolvency, and he will discuss disclaimer of onerous leases by Insolvency Practitioners.
Finally, he will look at how the Debt Respite Scheme is being used as a tool to prevent enforcement.
